"Kingkortobbobimurh" is the debut album by popular folk fusion band Bangla. It was released in 2002 from Ektaar Music in both Cassette and CD Jewel Case Format. Later on, a paperback CD version was released domestically, which was also made and marketed by The Indian Record Mfg. Co. Ltd. with license from Ektaar Music as an official Indian market release. The album blends traditional baul music with western influences to satisfy the urges of peace from the shackles of urban living. The band mentions in the album sleeves that they believed Baul music, in it's essence transcends time and place. They also urge that the mixing and fusion of various instruments should be viewed as normal, given how Bangla music itself has been deeply influenced by said instruments over the last 50 years. "Prottutponnnomotitto" is the sophomore album by popular folk fusion band Bangla . It was a tribute to Lalon Shai and features exclusively Lalon songs. It was released in 2006 from Ektaar Music. After having immense success from their first album, Kingkortobbobimurh , Bangla decided it to make an album dedicated completely to Lalon Shai and his teachings. During that time, Bangladesh was facing problems and pressure from various religious groups and there was an overall sense of misleading by extremists. It was evident, religion could have been used for worldly purposes and that made a lot a of people stray away from the real teachings with misunderstanding and misinterpretation. Bangla took up the time to do a retrospective analysis of select Lalon songs with a "discussion" on religious spirituality with Rob Fakir (Gopal) , a baul featured extensively throughout the album. "Light Years Ahead" or "Alok Borsho Durey" is the debut album of the pioneers of Bangla hip-hop, Stoic Bliss . The Bangladeshi-American hip hop band released this album in June 2006 from G-Series in both Jewel Case CD album and Cassette formats. Following huge popularity that the album garnered, it was followed with a paperback release to meet the demands. In fact,  Light Years Ahead sold well over 250,000 copies in the first 10 months, marking the very positive reception of hip-hop music in the Bangla music scene. 'Sreshtho' is the debut CD album of popular heavy metal/hard rock band Cryptic Fate released in 2002. The band, deemed as one of the pioneers of the underground music scene, is part of the ABC (Artcell, Black, Cryptic Fate) generation that so many of the youths of Bangladesh have fond affiliation with. Previously, Cryptic Fate had released a full English cassette album called "Ends are Forever" in 1998. The reception of that English album at that time wasn't warm, and Cryptic Fate started composing music in Bangla during the early stages of the underground scene. After gaining massive popularity in Isha Khan Durey's Charpotro , they decided they would recreate some of the English songs heard in the first album in Bangla as well as a bunch of new original material for a Liberation War themed album. "Ends are Forever" is the debut album of popular heavy metal band of Bangladesh, Cryptic Fate . This important album was released in 1995 from Soundtek in Cassette format only. Important, because this was the first English heavy metal album of Bangladesh . The album was influenced heavily by the likes of : Iron Maiden , Megadeth , Dream Theater , Metallica (Pre-Black album) and Seattle music scene of the USA. The band mentions in the album sleeves that it was in fact, Alice in Chains, for sparking the original inspiration. Ends are Forever was completed in exactly 9 full shifts, composed in exactly 1 month (The tracks "Moment in Madness" and "Apprehension " was composed during the studio sessions) at the Soundgarden Studios, recorded by the legendary sound engineer of Bangladesh, the late Imran Ahmed Chowdhury (Mobin) and Charu Bhai. "Kolponar Baire" is the sophomore album by the pioneers of Bangla Hip-Hop and Rap music, Stoic Bliss . After cementing their legacy as the talk of the town and having well over 250,000 copies of their first album sold, the band hit the studios and came up with this album in mid 2007. G-Series released Kolponar Baire ("Beyond Imagination") in both Paperback and Cassette formats. Following the establishment of popularity of Hip Hop music in the Bangladeshi music scene through which Stoic Bliss is solely responsible for giving other Hip Hop acts and bands the platform, the band intentionally made their sophomore album a bit different, with 4 more matured Pop numbers and overall lyrics keeping the quintessential Stoic Bliss flavour. In 1990, the whole heavy metal music scene was completely revolutionized by the release of the first proper heavy metal band mixed album 'Hooray!'. At that time it was available as Cassettes and was very tough to get a hold of. Later however, CDs were made. This album deserves a huge credit because it upheld the then heavy metal scene in Bangladesh. Legendary bands like In Dhaka, RockStrata, Warfaze, Winning, Faith, Ark etc as well as the Pop Guru himself, Azam Khan made their appearances.
