My photo
Shohail Ibne Mahbub (XTR)
I'm an avid Bangla music album collector in this hobby since 2012. Having grown up in the "Underground" era of Bangla band music, I took the initiative to archive and upload album artworks. Till now, I've been recognised and acknowledged by various artists, bands, streaming and label companies for my work on Bangla CD Covers. There's a high chance most artwork you see floating around the internet are scanned by me!

Warfaze by Warfaze

"Warfaze" is the self-titled debut album of pioneer Bangladeshi Heavy Metal band Warfaze . It was released from Sargam in 1991 in cassette format with a later CD release in the late '90s. The CD was also re-released by Sargam in 2008. The album featured hits like "Boshe Achhi", "Ekti Chhele", "Bichchhinno Abeg", "Shadhikhar" etc. and during that time, this sound was unheard of in the Bangladeshi band music scene. Lyrics other than romanticism and patriotism were rare, so it took a while for this music to be accepted, especially in a band music scene where Pop largely dominated as the mainstream music of choice for bands. Warfaze, along with Rockstrata, In Dhaka and Aces are the sole reason why this genre of music became so popular, and gave way to the popularization of Progressive Rock, Progressive Metal and Hard Rock bands that emerged in the late '90s and early 2000s from the Underground era. Warfaze was formed on June 6th...

Elephant Road by Elephant Road

"Elephant Road" is the self-titled debut album of Bangladeshi-American band, Elephant Road . They were a rock and metal band from Minnesota, USA. The band members come from the old-school Bangladeshi rock music scene and are coincidentally part of legendary bands like RockStrata, In Dhaka, Aces and Warfaze. This album was brought to life when they had to leave the country for higher education and personal reasons. It was released in the USA under NineVoltStudio, and domestically under the label of G-Series in 2004. Artwork The domestic release has a very off-axis printing quality of the booklet and its very difficult to read. The american release on the other hand, is crisp and contains different artwork components. Accessing the bands website remains futile at the time of writing, but much can be read from the feature in The Watson Brothers ' website in the link here: http://www.thewatsonbrothers.com/elephantroad/index.html In case the website ever goes down, ...

"Onnoshomoy" is the debut album of arguably the first ever progressive metal band of Bangladesh, Artcell . It was released in 2002 from G-Series in both Jewel Case CD and Cassette formats. Later on, it also received a paperback received following high demand. The album was the result of Artcell new found glory and popularity in various Band Mixed Albums where they had contributed with great singles. Following that tone, Artcell came with a bang to let everyone know that they are worth it, and they really were. Onnoshomoy was a massive hit spinning off great songs such as "Onnoshomoy", "Bhul Jonmo", "Poth Chola", "Rahur Grash", "Itihash [Shomoy/Oddrishto]" etc. The Album was dedicated to their long term friend Rupok, who had died an untimely death 3 years before the release of the album. Onnoshomoy paved the way for the progressive metal giant in the country's band music scenario. The album also garnered the band a...
