I'm an avid Bangla music album collector in this hobby since 2012. Having grown up in the "Underground" era of Bangla band music, I took the initiative to archive and upload album artworks. Till now, I've been recognised and acknowledged by various artists, bands, streaming and label companies for my work on Bangla CD Covers. There's a high chance most artwork you see floating around the internet are scanned by me!

Collection Update - May 2018!

Hey everyone, I'm still alive. I will be uploading artworks for the 2012 releases soon in a month's time. Life is getting the better of me but if you haven't yet, stay tuned at my Facebook page, I can quickly post updates there. Collection Update - July 2018!

I've been a busy bee over the vacation, and I had 7 hauls after my last collection update in May, 2018. Now my collection consists of a staggering 117 Albums. It's been an amazing ride over the last 6 years.  ( Click on the picture to see in higher resolution) And I will be continuing this hobby of mine and uploading the artworks from the end of this month. Daak by Yaatri

"Daak" is the debut album of popular pop rock/easy listening band "Yaatri" . It was released in 2006 from G-Series in both Paperback and Cassette format. In 2008 it was re-released as an extended paperback with no booklet. The album was a project mainly consisting of Rashed Uddin Ahmed Topu and Emran Khan . Topu wrote all the lyrics for the album while Emran did the keys and programming. Previously, this duo composed two mega hit songs, the first one called "Nupur" in 2004 for Tony Vincent Gomes ' band mixed album, "Shopnochura" and the second "Ekta Gopon Kotha" which was featured in Tony's 2nd compilation in the series, "Shopnochura 2" in 2005. For "Daak", to complete the tracks, the duo took help from a lot of popular and up and coming artists during that time: Guitarists - Ahsan Ul Habi Adil, James, Bassists - Shams Alim Biswas, Ishtiaq Hossain Jishan, Vocalists - Armeen Musa, Elita Karim, Simin Sai...

Underground [Band Mixed Album]

Kamal a.k.a. Guitarman is also known as a band mixed album co-ordinator. His first work is 'Underground'. Released in 2006, it featured a great deal of UG bands and great hits like 'Utshober Utshahe', '35', 'Jani Na' etc.  This album also spawns a sequel in 2007. [N.B. - The paperback album I have did not have Yaatri's 'Jonmechi Taai', but it was listed in the booklet. It may be a recording glitch. Shopnochura 2 [Band Mixed Album]

'Shopnochura 2' is the second album in the Shopnochura series co-ordinated by Black Drummer Tony Vincent Gomes. Like it's prequel 'Shopnochura', it featured a lineup of both old and new bands coming into one spotlight. This was also a hit throughout the country with notable songs of "Ondho", "Ekta Gopon Kotha", "Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi" etc. It was released in 2005. Ekhon Ami by Sumon

"Ekhon Ami" is the 5th solo album by famous Bangladeshi artist Sumon , in which he collaborated with Anila Naz Chowdhury and Fuad Al-Muqtadir (hence the name, "Fuad feat. Sumon and Anila - Ekhon Ami" ). It was released in December 2007 from Agniveena (sister concern of G-Series). Previously in February 2007, Sumon had released his mega solo album "Boka Manushta (Sumon O Aurthohin 2)". Ekhon Ami featured more Latin, Jazz, Blues and Pop influences with remakes of his famous songs like "Shopnogulo Tomar Moto" (title track of his 2nd solo album released in 2001) and "Tomar Jonno" (from his 3rd solo album, Megher Deshe: A Tribute to John Denver , released in 2005, which in turn was a remake of John Denver's Annie's Song). RaaGa by RaaGa

"RaaGa" is the debut self-titled album of the pop band, RaaGa . It was released on Valentines Day, February 14th of 2005 from G-Series in both Cassette and Jewel Case CD formats. Later on, it also received a paperback release. RaaGa comprises of 6 Bangladeshi musicians - Joy , Ashiq , Chisti , Elita , Emran , Nafeez and this was their first and only album. Composer, songwriter Ashiq and Elita began working on this particular project in 2003 with their first single, "Kothay" , recorded in May of that year in collaboration with ace sound engineer Habib and co-producer Balam . At that time, Emran (on keys), played a significant role in the formation of the band which eventually found its drummer Nafeez in later in August. During the initial planning of the album, the lineup got in touch with Joy (on bass) and Chisti (on Guitars) and they instantly clicked with the project. Thus, "RaaGa" came into being. 'Underground 2' is the sequel to Kamal's UG compilation 'Underground'. It was released in 2007 and like it's prequel featured UG bands. Shopnochura [Band Mixed Album]

'Shopnochura' is the first of the series of band mixed albums co-ordinated by Black's drummer Tony Vincent Gomes. Featuring a line-up of old and new bands, the series played a pioneer role as a platform for future bands who needed a bit of exposure. Tony succeeded in doing that. Shopnochura featured various bands and spurred huge hits like 'Epituff' and 'Nupur' and the instrumental extravaganza known as 'Purbo-Poshchim'. The compilation album was released in 2004.
