I'm an avid Bangla music album collector in this hobby since 2012. Having grown up in the "Underground" era of Bangla band music, I took the initiative to archive and upload album artworks. Till now, I've been recognised and acknowledged by various artists, bands, streaming and label companies for my work on Bangla CD Covers. There's a high chance most artwork you see floating around the internet are scanned by me!

Oprostut Juddho by Powersurge

"Oprostut Juddho" is the debut album by Djuice D'Rockstars season 2 winner thrash metal band, Powersurge. It released a year after their win from G-Series in September of 2008 in paperback format. The album was quintessential in cementing Powersurge as a force to be reckoned with as well as a band that hailed from the underground, very much like the other established bands from the early 2000s underground scene. The entire album revolves around patriotism and revolt amidst pain and suffering. Raef Al Hasan Rafa (of AurthohinKral fame at that time), produced this album and he mentions in the album sleeves that he had been determined to produce the heaviest sounding album that Bangladesh has ever heard. Truly, the album speaks for itself and remains as a milestone for thrash metal in the Bangladeshi band music scenario. The artwork for the album as well as the logo was done by Dhanad Islam. Photography was done by Shaibal. Rafa provided the chorus for the track "Shadhinotar Barta".

In January 2006, Guitarist Saimum Hasan Nahian (of 666 fame, the band which renamed itself to Severe Dementia) with Drummer Samiul Islam decided to form a thrash metal band from various American and German thrash/heavy metal influences. After the initial forming, the band was completed by March 2006 starting with Jamshed Chowdhury on vocals, Golam Samir Hafiz Khan on guitars and Arefin Ahmed Saeed on bass. The band immediately started performing in underground shows, where they were gaining rapid popularity because of their aggressive style and vicious stage acts. The underground crowds were overwhelmed and accepted Powersurge’s Thrash dominion for their rock-solid performances and song qualities. In the middle of 2006, Powersurge had their first single “Durboddho Monushotto” released in the mixed band compilation album “Underground” by Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal (of Aurthohin/ex-Warfaze fame at the time), where the song itself was much more of an experimental track apart from the Powersurge thrash style. Now, the band was moving forward with success in the underground gigs, while the huge was yet to come.

In 2007, Powersurge became the Champions of GrameenPhone's DRockstars2, the second and final season of the nation-wide rock/metal band hunt competition conceptualized by their youth-oriented offering, Djuice, beating other underground bands like Radioactive, Mechanix, Dark etc. The band achieved an image of being an icon in both the underground and mainstream scenes. This was also fulfilling the sole motto of the band - that is to build a firm and solid spot for Thrash Metal music in Bangladesh. The band proceeded to release their debut album the following year as part of the winning prize record deal with G-Series.

The lineup for "Oprostut Juddho" consisted of the following:

Saimum Hasan Nahian: Guitars
Samiul Islam: Drums
Jamshed Chowdhury: Vocals
Golam Samir Hafiz Khan: Guitars
Ahmed Saeed Arefin: Bass

Obak Bhalobasha by Warfaze

"Obak Bhalobasha" is the sophomore album of pioneer heavy metal band Warfaze . It was released in 1994 from Sargam originally on Cassette and later on CD Formats with full custom cover artwork by  Masud Kamal , which was conceptualized by the band with Munna . It also debuted the band's official logo, which is still used today, made by Mascot Monem . The album was re-released in 2008 by Sargam with a different front cover that featured the original artwork in a cutout fashion. Following in the footsteps of the debut album, the band focused more on their sound and delivered matured lyrics and compositions. After the release of the debut album, the band followed it up with a concert on 7 January, 1992 at the RAOWA club. Soon aferwards, the band got to work on the songs for Obak Bhalobasha which had massive hits like, "Onno Bhubon (Ekti Chhele Kromosho)", "Obak Bhalobasha", "Jokhon", "Bondi Niyoti", "Nirbashon" etc. The l

Paper Rhyme by Paper Rhyme

"Paper Rhyme" is the debut self-titled album by popular Bangladeshi '90s pop-rock band Paper Rhyme . It was released in 1996 from Soundtek in cassette format. Nearing the millennium, it received a CD release on "Silver Disc". Paper Rhyme was a band that formed in 1992, with the lineup of: Ahmed Saad , Nasser Haque , Rashed Iqbal , Aninda Kabir Avik and Schumann Zaman . Rashed and Nasser were part of popular pop-rock trio "Masrur-Rashed-Nasser" , with two albums called Lesson-1 and Lesson-2 . The band produced only one album and then "disappeared" as they like to say it after '96, but actually the band members went their different ways in life. They were in hiatus until in 2017, when they reunited (with the absence of Rashed Iqbal) for one last studio performance in a '90s bands compilation album called "Abar" , with the song, "Darao Bondhu" . Paper Rhyme's biggest hit to this day is the song called "On
