I'm an avid Bangla music album collector in this hobby since 2012. Having grown up in the "Underground" era of Bangla band music, I took the initiative to archive and upload album artworks. Till now, I've been recognised and acknowledged by various artists, bands, streaming and label companies for my work on Bangla CD Covers. There's a high chance most artwork you see floating around the internet are scanned by me!

Adheko Ghume by Arnob

"Adheko Ghume" is the 5th studio album by amazing Bangladeshi fusion artist, Shayan Chowdhury Arnob. Unlike previous releases from the artist, this particular album, which contains only Rabindra Sangeet, pays homage to Rabindranath Tagore and Arnob's student life at Shantiniketan. It was composed and recorded by him at his own production house, "Adhkhana Music". The distribution was handled in domestic and abroad markets by Bengal Music Company (BMC) ltd. The album was released in June of 2012. The album was sponsored by popular telecom of Bangladesh, Robi.

In the album sleeves, Arnob explains how this album had a different take on traditional Rabindrath Sangeet. Jyotirindranath Tagore, Rabindranath's elder brother, encouraged young Rabindranath by inviting him to write songs, and Jyotirindranath was talneted enough to play several instruments, of which the Piano was one his favorites. Various records in Rabindranath's journal explain how his elder brother would come up with piano structures or patterns based on a fusion of Indian and Western scales, while asking him to write songs and create melodies along with them. Arnob had been in Santiniketan from age 9 and during his student years he picked up many Tagore songs. He also had the opportunity to learn the Piano in Uttarayan where Tagore used to live. He was finally able to recognize patterns in his structures and immediately identify Tagore. He claims that this album was an attempt to connect to the young Tagore's own practice of creating songs based on piano structures.

Arnob had been working on this album for 2 years and he thanks his good friend, Elvind Lodemel who he believes is one of the finest and most versatile pianists he has come across. Elvind performed all the piano parts in this album except for three tracks (3, 6 & 13) where Arnob played the piano himself.

He also thanks Elma, who was a constant companion throughout the making of this album and whom he could not have completed the album without. Elma provided vocals in "Prochondo Gorjone", while Srabonti Ali provided vocals in "Shawon Gogone" and Warda sang in "Amar Din Furalo". Buno played the guitar solo in "Prochondo Gorjone" and Swarup Hossain played the Tabla and Khol throughout the album.

The album was definitely unorthodox, a different approach which could have sparked controversies, but Arnob was sure to point out that Tagore himself was not afraid of being controversial and taking new directions in his music.

The final track, "Robir Gaan" is a promotional piece by Arnob for sponsor telecom, Robi, which was going through a re-branding phase in 2012.

Paper Rhyme by Paper Rhyme

"Paper Rhyme" is the debut self-titled album by popular Bangladeshi '90s pop-rock band Paper Rhyme . It was released in 1996 from Soundtek in cassette format. Nearing the millennium, it received a CD release on "Silver Disc". Paper Rhyme was a band that formed in 1992, with the lineup of: Ahmed Saad , Nasser Haque , Rashed Iqbal , Aninda Kabir Avik and Schumann Zaman . Rashed and Nasser were part of popular pop-rock trio "Masrur-Rashed-Nasser" , with two albums called Lesson-1 and Lesson-2 . The band produced only one album and then "disappeared" as they like to say it after '96, but actually the band members went their different ways in life. They were in hiatus until in 2017, when they reunited (with the absence of Rashed Iqbal) for one last studio performance in a '90s bands compilation album called "Abar" , with the song, "Darao Bondhu" . Paper Rhyme's biggest hit to this day is the song called "On
